Cornice in legno, con applicazioni in gesso-pastiglia e finitura mogano scuro, inizio XX secolo, primo Liberty.
Questa tipologia di cornice, con la particolare ampiezza del decoro rispetto al piccolo formato, era usata molto per incorniciare i primi ritratti fotografici, che si stavano diffondendo nel primo Novecento. E' dunque perfetta per una antica fotografia. 
Misure esterne 40 x 31 cm, misure incavo 22,6 x 13,4 cm, misure luce 20,3 x 11 cm.

La cornice si presenta in buono stato di conservazione. Da segnalare alcune cadute della decorazione in corrispondenza delle giunzioni a 45°.
