Beeld van het Heilig Hart van Jezus, afkomstig uit Frankrijk en vervaardigd uit gepatineerd gips.

Het beeld toont Christus met de rechterhand opgeheven in zegenend gebaar en de linkerhand wijzend naar het Heilig Hart op de borst, dat is omgeven door een doornenkroon en vlammen, gesymboliseerd door gestileerde stralen en een kruis. De lange, golvende haren en het serene gelaat zijn kenmerkend voor devotiebeelden uit het midden van de twintigste eeuw, en benadrukken de troostende en barmhartige Christusfiguur.

De devotie tot het Heilig Hart kent diepe wortels in de christelijke traditie en werd vooral verspreid vanaf de 17de eeuw. Dit beeld is een mooi voorbeeld van deze spirituele verering in huiselijke vorm.

Het beeld verkeert in goede staat en heeft een zachte, beige-gele patina met enkele lichte ouderdomssporen en oppervlakkige gebruikssporen, passend bij de aard van het materiaal. De rechterhand is afneembaar. Geen zichtbare breuken of restauraties. Gemerkt aan de achterzijde met ‘Déposé 50’.
