History 

Videoton began producing the D93- Musical Encyclopaedia type speaker in the late 1970s, primarily for export purposes and in small series, with an exclusive appearance reminiscent of a folded dictionary and encyclopedia. It is not known, whether any other company in the world produced anything similar at that time. 
It is 100% book-shaped, with the plywood top and bottom veneer pattern resembling the interconnected groups of book pages. Its rated power is 20W, and it contains 2 x 9,5 cm diameter bass/midrange speakers, 1 Dome Tweeter, and a crossover. 
The original speakers had to be replaced because they were nearly 50 years old. The original speakers are no longer manufactured and cannot be repaired, so they were replaced with new modern speakers. 
Despite its small size, it sounds dynamic and very beautiful with the new speakers.
