A vintage pearl torsade necklace by Paloma Picasso for Tiffany & Co - two silver rings serve as their clasp, and we are quite taken by her She comes to us from the 1980’s although she gives us biiiiig Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s (which perhaps could’ve served as inspiration for Ms Paloma!). The term torsade refers to necklaces or bracelets which feature multiple strands, twisted or braided then joined by a single clasp (derivative of “torsader”, which is French for “to twist”).
