Brass Candlestick – ca. 1770

The candlestick stands on a broad, round profiled base, topped with a slightly raised drip tray. From this tray rises the elegantly shaped stem, which supports the cylindrical candle socket.
Comparable examples can be found in museum collections such as Museum De Lakenhal in Leiden.

Material: solid brass, foot filled with lead.
Height: 122 mm
Base diameter: Ø 78 mm
Weight: approx. 460 grams

Condition: very good historical condition, with a warm natural patina and some traces of age consistent with centuries of use. Please see the photos for a precise impression.
