Plates 3-12 with an even brown toning to the paper. Binding very worn with the cover becoming detached from the book block. Vol. 2: 355 pages. 39 plates, 48-83, 51a, 71a,b, complete. The backstrip of the cover indicates 40 plates, but the index only mentions the 39 plates here present. Vol. 3: 410 pages. 53 plates 84-136. This volume has the required total of 53 plates. However, instead of plate 122 a second copy of plate 123 has been bound in. Vol. 4: 328 pages. 53 plates 137-189, complete Vol. 5: 368 pages. 50 plates 190-238,235a, complete. Includes general index to volumes 1-5. Vol. 6: incomplete copy. Contains 63 plates out of 76. Some pages (including the title page) are missing. The binding largely disintegrated. The text pages have not been collated in detail. In volumes 1-5 it has been checked that nothing is missing at places where some pages are loosening. Volumes 1-5 in fair condition, volume 6 in poor condition. The set weighs packed around 5kg, which makes shipping outside Europe prohibitively expensive.
