Zeer fraaie Zwitserse maritieme chronometer in de stijl van Ferdinand Berthoud.
Volledig uitgevoerd in messing en staal, met een cardanische ophanging (gimbal) zodat het instrument horizontaal blijft tijdens bewegingen aan boord.

De wijzerplaat is gesigneerd “Berthoud”, de onderzijde gemerkt “Swiss”, en het serienummer “No. 9284” is gegraveerd op de zijkant van de kast.
Het betreft een mechanisch uurwerk (geen batterij), waarschijnlijk vervaardigd in Zwitserland rond 1950–1970, geïnspireerd op de klassieke 18e-eeuwse scheepschronometers.
