Chiara Scotto Pasanisi dei Foscarini

Créée en 1820 par Emile Puiforcat, Joseph Marie Puiforcat et Baptiste Fuchs.

Emile insculpe son poinçon de fabricant en 1857 et reste inchangé au fil des années. Il est installé au 18 rue Chapon à Paris.
L’orfèvre décède en 1883 mais son poinçon est utilisé jusqu’en 1927.

En 1902 le gendre de Fuchs, Louis Victor Tabouret Puiforcat prend la suite.

En 1918 le célèbre Jean Puiforcat (1897-1945), fils de Louis Victor Tabouret Puiforcat reprend l’entreprise familiale.
C’est grâce à lui que la Maison devient célèbre. Il s’illustre notamment pendant la période Art déco puis dans l’orfèvrerie moderne.

Les pièces de prestiges, les ré-éditions d’orfèvrerie ancienne, les créations originales de Jean Puiforcat ou encore les réalisations contemporaines faites en collaboration portent un numéro de référence unique permettant de les identifier et de retrouver leur date de fabrication, l’artisan…
