Image size: 33.5 x 34.0 cm
Otmar Alt is an established and versatile contemporary artist. Always eager to experiment and in search of new artistic challenges, he does not limit his work to painting and graphic arts.
He transcends the boundaries of different genres of visual art, repeatedly venturing into the fringes of artistic practice. His work includes the design of high-quality tableware, glass lamps, facades, and windows. He also creates designs for theatrical sets, stage scenery, and costumes.
Otmar Alt remains true to his own distinctive visual language. His imaginative works often appear cheerful and playful on the surface. The versatility in form and design reflects his experimental spirit, curiosity, and exuberance. Yet his artworks are never without depth. Upon closer inspection, profound and complex narratives unfold, prompting the viewer to reflect.
