From an old collection
Ancient *Piha-Kaetta* from Ceylon, bone/wooden handle with carved plant motifs, decorations on the handle with elaborate inlays made of bronze/messing with engraved ornamentation, very intricate handcrafted work, double riveted, thick blade of 10mm thickness, hand-forged, slightly curved shape, elaborately engraved on both sides with symbols – see photos. Overall condition appropriate for its age, genuinely good, signs of age and use are present – see photos. These are part of the auction. Origin country: Ceylon. Total length approximately 35cm.
