This tea bowl was made by First Generation Touichi Yamane. The colors are like a painting, and the marbled pattern looks like paint drips. It is an artistic tea bowl. It will surely catch your eye when displayed. Kazuwa ware is a type of pottery made in Kurayoshi City, Tottori Prefecture. A unique shine is created by applying a uranium glaze and firing it. This bowl was made using a rare manufacturing method. The round stamp on the bottom of the bowl is proof that it was made by Yamane Toichi I. Yamane Toichi I opened his kiln during the Taisho period (1912-1926). This piece was made around 1910-1940. All kilns using this technique have now closed. This is the only one remaining.
