Loch Lomond 44 Years Old is a limited-edition single malt from Loch Lomond, distilled all the way back in September 1966. It matured for over 44 years—at the time it was released in 2011, it was the oldest single malt available from the distillery. This rare whisky has aromas of oak, Christmas nuts, fresh grass and peppermint on the nose. The palate starts with a light sweetness, followed by gentle dark toffee notes. The finish is pleasant with warm vanilla and malt. Only 1640 bottles of the Loch Lomond 44 Years Old 1966 were released.
