Simone Sedda

Historic F rotary valve horn made by Eggli & Söhne, Singen am Hohentwiel (Germany).
Manufactured approximately between 1890 and 1920.
Equipped with a fully hand-crafted traditional German rotary valve mechanism and original engraved maker’s mark on the bell.

The instrument is in unrestored, original condition, showing an attractive antique patina.
The rotary valves are operational:
– two valves move very smoothly,
– the middle valve has slightly more resistance, but still moves properly.

The body shows age-related dents, playwear and typical solder points from this period.
The bell is the original fixed bell (non-detachable), a common construction of around 1900.

The horn is sold together with its original fitted hard case, lined in blue fabric.

A fine piece for collectors of historical brass instruments, for decorative or museum purposes, or as a base for professional restoration.
