Solid Sculptural Crystal Table Lamp – Abstract Figure – Attributed to Val Sain Lambert (VSL) – Ca. 1950

An exceptionally heavy crystal table lamp from the Mid-Century Modern era, dating from around 1950-1960. The lamp is a beautiful example of Belgian craftsmanship.

The base is crafted from a single piece of solid, clear crystal. The design represents an abstract, dynamic figure and functions as an art object in the interior. The design fits perfectly into the Modernist and Organic design movement of the 1950s, which emphasized natural, flowing lines. The lamp features an authentic gold-colored metal socket with a classic pull chain to operate the light.
