Description from the seller

Elegant large silver-plated insulated pitcher decorated with a scrolling floral along the rim and a open mouth. with hinged lid and richly decorated rococo-style handle and spout.
Stamped underneath “Patent July 15th 1886 dating this piece to the late 19th century.

The pot features a faceted, slightly conical body and fine chased decoration typical of the late Victorian era. Made in the United States around 1886, most likely by a workshop working in silver-plate on copper or brass.

Material: silver-plated metal (not solid silver)
Origin: United States
Period: circa 1886
Dimensions: 29cm x 27cm x 19cm
Weight: 2,4Kg

Condition: good antique condition with normal age-related wear — surface scratches, a few small dents, and local plate wear; the base shows signs of old repairs and openings, consistent with age and use. Please see photos for a complete impression. I have difficulty reading the maker's marks

A fine and decorative late-19th-century American coffee pot with a clearly dated patent mark — a charming historical piece for collectors of American silver-plate or Victorian tableware.
