Originating from France during the late 1800s, this statue reflects the strong Marian devotion associated with the Fourvière Basilica in Lyon. The inscription "N.D. DE FOURVIERE" is clearly engraved on the front base, reinforcing its sacred significance.

The statue is crafted from unglazed porcelain (biscuit), showcasing detailed craftsmanship in the delicate facial expressions and ornamental floral arrangements.
