This delightful Sitting Mallard Duck figurine was designed by Katherine de Sousa (often wrongly read as "De Sorrs") and made in Belgium by Val Saint Lambert using an intricate studio crafting technique. The clear crystal adds a touch of elegance to the decorative piece, while the American Directoire style and bird theme give it a unique charm. Katherine worked with top international crystal companies in America, France, Japan as well as Val Saint Lambert in Belgium.
Val Saint Lambert products are made of crystal with a lead content of approximately 33-40% instead of the legally determined 24%. This extra lead content gives the piece a gorgeous quality and brilliance.

The figurine is signed on the base "Val St. Lambert" "De Sousa" and is in MINT condition. This lovely duck figurine will add a touch of timeless beauty to any glass or crystal collection and will be a talking point in any interior.
