Three wooden boards dating to around 1850 in a Dutch folk-art style.
Description from the seller
Dimensions above are of the double-sided cut plank.
Dimensions of the so-called small goods shelf: 51x13x3 cm.
Dimensions of the so-called speculaas cookies: 49 x 9 cm.
We offer you: one small goods shelf, one double-sided cut shelf, and a shelf for speculaas cookies.
The double-sided carved plank depicts a stagecoach pulled by two horses, with a coachman on the box and two passengers seated behind the windows. On the other side, we see a lady with a beautiful headdress. The plank has a small hole between the stagecoach's two wheels, where a knot once was. It's not very noticeable and can easily be removed with a little liquid wood. A beautiful old folk art plank.
Then there's the one-sided shelf with so-called small items, with various subjects you might remember from the past: a rooster, a bird, a shoe, etc. The shelf actually speaks for itself and is still in good condition considering its age.
The third board for so-called speculaas cookies is a typical beechwood folk art board with various designs that are used to make smaller speculaas cookies, probably cut by the baker himself.
We've taken good photos of the three planks. Please view them. They are part of the description of the planks we offer.
We will send them carefully and with track and trace.
Good feedback is greatly appreciated.
