Description from the seller
Bodywork / Paint
The vehicle has undergone a complete cosmetic restoration, documented step by step with photographs.
The car body was completely dismantled: fenders, bumpers, the hood, rocker panels, the tailgate, and various parts were sanded, primed, and prepared individually before repainting.
Work performed:
The vehicle has recently undergone a full exterior paint job in satin matte red. The process began with sanding and a thorough inspection of the entire surface, including a primer coat to correct imperfections and ensure maximum adhesion.
The finish is uniform across all components, since elements such as the fins, bumpers, tailgate, and hood have been primed and repainted independently to ensure a consistent result. As a visual contrast, the roof has been painted in satin black and is in perfect condition.
In its current condition, there are no scratches, dents, or visible defects, providing an impeccable appearance.
Oxides and repairs:
As for its structural condition, the bodywork shows no structural rust or perforating corrosion, and the monocoque is free of damage. Before repainting, only superficial rust spots were observed on the suspension components and metal brackets, something completely normal given the vehicle's age. Likewise, the chassis shows no recent welds or major repairs, confirming that all work performed has been cosmetic and not structural.
Glass, rubber seals and chrome.
Regarding the exterior finishes, the door gaskets, window gaskets, and joints remain functional and without noticeable breaks. The glass is in good condition and does not show cracks. Likewise, although the model does not have significant chrome trim, all existing trim pieces are in good condition, preserving the vehicle's aesthetic integrity.
TECHNICIAN
Engine and transmission
The BMW 3.0 engine (N52) is in good overall condition and shows no visible signs of oil leaks. In the lower area, no fluid losses have been observed, and although the intake hoses and ducts show the normal dirt from use, they have no breaks of any kind. As for its performance, the car starts properly both when cold and when hot, maintaining stable operation.
Suspension and brakes
In the dynamic section, the shock absorbers and springs show no visible leaks, although they display the usual wear consistent with their age. The metal components of the chassis exhibit superficial rust of a non-structural nature, a typical detail in BMW models of this generation that does not compromise the vehicle's integrity. For its part, the braking system is fully functional, with no immediate need to replace discs or pads.
Tires and wheels
The vehicle is equipped with BMW multi-spoke wheels in good condition, shod with tires that are moderately worn, allowing immediate use.
Steering, belts and other components
Upon a more detailed inspection, no cracks or damage are observed in the auxiliary belts, and the automatic transmission shifts correctly. Additionally, the front radiator is in good condition, with no refrigerant or oil leaks observed.
Interior
The interior features its original red leather upholstery, which is overall well preserved, with seats that do not show significant tears or excessive wear. The cockpit maintains an excellent appearance, with the instrument cluster, controls, and switches well preserved; furthermore, the headliner upholstery remains firm, with no sagging or detached areas.
Regarding the electrical equipment, all major components are fully functional, including the windows, the instrument cluster, the warning lights, and the display. Likewise, both the ventilation and air conditioning system and the original BMW radio are operational. Finally, the trunk is clean and well-kept, with no creases in the carpeting or in the side panels.
OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION
The car has undergone a professional aesthetic restoration, using high-quality paint and a complete disassembly of the bodywork to ensure an optimal finish. The entire process is documented with dozens of images that provide total transparency and confidence in the quality of the work performed. Due to its exclusive aesthetics and current condition, this Z4 Coupé is an ideal unit for both collectors and BMW enthusiasts looking for a distinctive model.

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
