Antique Russian icon 'Christ Pantokrator' with a metal cover (Riza) – circa 1900

This impressive icon depicts Christ as Pantokrator, one of the central representations of Orthodox iconography. The depiction is likely from Russia and was created around the year 1900.
Technique: mixed media on wood (probably egg tempera), with partially exposed painting beneath a finely crafted metal overlay (riza).
• Material: wooden board with stamped metal covering (brass or gold-plated copper)
Dimensions: approximately 27 × 22 cm.
Condition: Authentic signs of age – patina, minor bumps, and woodworm holes on the back (see photos). The painting is well preserved and depicts the finely detailed face of Christ.
