Belle statuette d'autel Ewe du Togo. C'est un objet avec une présence spécial. Le traitement est naïf et minimaliste plongeant cette oeuvre dans un univers onirique particulier. Le visage est expressif et captivant. Le regard est illuminé. Il semble plongé dans le monde des esprits et des divinités. Il y a beaucoup de douceur dans cette oeuvre. Sur sa tête est fixé un plateau où les offrandes étaient déposées. Les bras sont manquants. La sculpture est bien proportionnée, les courbes sont douces et harmonieuses. C'est l'oeuvre d'un artiste aguerri. Le bois a subit les outrages du temps, il est érodé et patiné. Il est recouvert de poudre de kaolin et de restes d'offrandes. Fentes et accidents, voir photos, vendu en l'état. Socle sur mesure. Une belle pièce de collection Vaudou ancienne et authentique. Circa 1950.
