Bauhaus Door handle (2) - 1910-1920 - Brass with Horn handles

Set of Nickel-Plated Brass & Horn Door Handles – Art Deco / Early Bauhaus – Germany, ca. 1910–1920 – In Excellent Condition – No Reserve A beautifully preserved and high-end quality set of early Art Deco / proto-Bauhaus door handles, crafted in Germany around 1910–1920. The minimalist geometric form, the functionalist L-shape, and the combination of nickel-plated brass with elegant horn grips place these firmly within the emerging Bauhaus aesthetic of the period: honest materials, clean lines, and refined craftsmanship. Originally salvaged from the interior of a historic canal house in the city of Delft, where they had been installed during a renovation using imported German hardware of the finest quality. These handles offer a timeless balance between industrial modernity and luxurious detail, making them perfect for high-end interiors, restored period homes, design studios, or architectural collectors. Condition In excellent vintage condition with no cracks or chips to the horn grips. The nickel plating shows a beautiful, authentic patination consistent with age. Please examine the many photos for an accurate impression. Dimensions Rosettes: 3.8 x 3.8 cm Door handle length: 10.5 cm Square spindle length: approx. 5 cm Note If your door or lock thickness differs, you can easily drill a 2–2.5 mm hole in the square spindle and secure it with a nail wedge—an accepted historical method. A rare and beautifully aged set of early Bauhaus-era handles that will instantly elevate any interior space.
