Exclusive edition! Pedro Domecq, one of Jerez's most iconic wineries, produced a special edition of sherry dedicated to Francisco Franco during his visit to the wineries in May 1943. On that occasion, the dictator signed a butt (barrel) that remained in the El Molino winery until it was moved to a more discreet location. The winery produced a special bottling with a label designed by José Luis Torres, dedicated to the "Generalissimo of the Armies." Furthermore, in May 1946, during another Franco visit to Jerez, a luncheon was held in his honor in the Santo Domingo cloisters. The menu, prepared by the Madrid restaurant Jockey, included dishes such as Scottish-style smoked salmon and Quirinal veal delicacies, accompanied by sherry wines, among others.  These actions reflect how Jerez wineries, including Pedro Domecq, participated in official events during the Franco regime, producing special editions and organizing receptions in honor of the dictator.
