The Alto Moncayo 2021 is a powerful and expressive Garnacha from the Campo de Borja D.O., crafted by renowned winemaker José Peñín and the Borsao team. Sourced from old-vine Garnacha (Grenache) vineyards planted on steep, rocky slopes at high altitude, this vintage showcases the full intensity and character of Aragón’s terroir.

On the nose, it opens with deep aromas of ripe blackberries, blueberries, and dark cherries, layered with hints of roasted coffee, cocoa, licorice, and warm spices from its aging in new French and American oak.

The palate is rich, full-bodied, and beautifully balanced — combining lush fruit concentration with silky tannins and vibrant acidity. Notes of black plum, fig, and vanilla evolve into a long, powerful finish marked by minerality and fine oak integration.

Aged approximately 20 months in oak barrels, Alto Moncayo 2021 exemplifies the elegance and intensity that have made this label one of Spain’s most celebrated Garnacha wines.
