This is the sculptural piece titled "Parole," made of brass and Plexiglass (Dark Red and Transparent), a distinctive medium of the artist. The work depicts the iconic word "parole" in gold on a flame-shaped or cloud-shaped silhouette in dark red, resting on a transparent base. Born in Florence in 1921, Eugenio Miccini is considered one of the founders of Visual Poetry and verbal-visual experimentation in Italy. His artistic research, initiated in the 1960s, is characterized by the fusion of poetic language and visual art, often through the use of plastic and everyday materials.
He was among the founding members of the '63 Group, the important Italian neo-avant-garde movement, and of the 70 Group, contributing significantly to the international dissemination of Visual Poetry as a critical and conceptual art form. His works are exhibited in the collections of the world's most important museums.
