-> B. HISTORY of the Model: 
The Rolex ref. 4220 refers to an entry-level, manual-winding Oyster model that was produced in the 1940s and 1950s under various names, including Oyster Royalite, Oyster Royal, and Speedking, with the 4220 case becoming a popular reference for these models. These smaller, 30mm (and sometimes 29mm) stainless steel watches were affordable alternatives to the more complex Oyster Perpetual models and were also marketed for military use, particularly to Canadian soldiers during WWII. 
Key characteristics and history:
•	Model Names: 
The 4220 reference was used for various entry-level Rolex models like the Oyster Royal, Oyster Royalite, and Speedking, with Royalite being a name for military-marketed models during WWII. 
•	Size: 
The stainless steel case typically measured around 30mm in diameter, which was considered normal for these smaller watches during the era. 
•	Movement: 
These were manual-winding, 15-jewel movements, distinguishing them from the automatic Oyster Perpetual models. 
•	Dial Variations: 
Dials included two-tone silvered, white with gold-gilt tracks, and distinctive "California" dials with a mix of Roman and Arabic numerals. 
•	Military Connection: 
Some models, particularly the Oyster Royalite, were marketed and sold to Canadian soldiers during World War II. 
•	Historical Context: 
The "Rolex Oyster" name itself was used to denote the brand's first watertight wristwatch, with the manual-wind "Oyster" and "Royal" series serving as more affordable, entry-level options alongside the higher-end Oyster Perpetual models.

Watch has minimal scratches due to being vintage in case, bezel, caseback and crystal. . nothing to worry about.
