Nicolas & Armand Heins - De monumentale stad Gent - 1900s

Original poster (lithograph) from 1906 featuring a remarkable aerial view of the city center of Ghent, showing all the historic and monumental buildings. This poster was produced by the art printing house Nicolas & Armand Heins from Ghent (signed at the bottom left of the plate 'A. Heins') on behalf of the Ghent-based company S. Van Gheluwe, operator of one of the first department stores in our country, namely 'Les Grands Magasins du Beffroi', specializing in, among other things, linen, underwear, and clothing for women, men, and children. The poster was offered in 1906 as a gift to the loyal customers of the House Van Gheluwe.
