Set of 6 knife rests made in Germany by WMF, silver-plated, in Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) style, dating to 1910–1920.

You are bidding here on a 6 set of knife rest / bench in good vintage condition for its age.
Perfect for your Christmas table.
SOME GENERAL INFORMATIONS:
WMF GmbH (formerly WMF AG,for Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) is a formerly listed manufacturer of household, catering and hotel goods, which was founded in 1853 by Daniel Straub and the Schweizer brothers. In 1880, through the merger with Ritter & Co., the Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik AG was created.
SOME ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONS:
* Made in Germany around 1910
* Marked by the ostrich in a rhombus, placed in a beehive with smooth round arch. The mark was used from 1910 until around 1918
* Measurements: between 13,5 and 11 cm
* Brand WMF ( some last photo shows pictures from site no. 15 of WMF bible „Art Nouveau Domestic Metalwork)
* Please watch all the pictures, they are also a part of description
* I would like to point out that the items I am selling are several decades old and therefore show general signs of use and age, such as minor scratches, scuffs, discoloration, dust, cracks, dents, patina, chips etc.
Any major damage is always shown in the photos
* Please remember about Catawiki’s rules and make a payment maximally within 3 days after auction end
The items will be properly prepared for the shipping ( mainly recycled materials ) and sent insured ( up to 500€).

According to EU law for courier companies, in any case of damage to an international shipment, the first step in obtaining compensation is for the RECIPIENT to report the damage to their local supplier within 7 days of receiving the shipment. Only then, after the RECIPENT ( you ) receives a certificate of damage, I as the sender can claim compensation.
In addition, the following photos will be required: the damage to the item, the outside of the box with the shipping label, and the inside of the box including the materials used to protect the shipment.
