Jugendstil Stained glass window - 1900-1910 - Amsterdam original
Stained-Glass Window Panel – Art Nouveau / Jugendstil Geometry
In excellent condition – No reserve.
A high-end quality Art Nouveau stained-glass window panel from ca. 1910, featuring rare and luxurious copper inlay instead of the more common (and cheaper) lead came. The warm amber tones, deep cobalt centre bars and fresh green accents form a shield-shaped composition typical of early Dutch Jugendstil geometry, making this an eye-catching decorative piece for any stylish interior.
This beautifully preserved early 20th-century window comes from a private Amsterdam setting and is executed with hammered textured glass, vibrant colour elements and a curved upper register. Copper inlay was considered a luxury upgrade around 1900–1915, as it required more delicate and precise craftsmanship than lead.
The warm palette and symmetrical shield motif give it a noble, almost heraldic presence when hung in front of natural light.
