A long, finely textured beard composed of very precise vertical strands.

A serious and idealized face, with a straight nose and very classical features.

The gaze is turned to the right, with eyes slightly sunken, as is often seen in ancient representations.

The shoulders and the upper torso appear sketched in the lower part of the relief.

The metal plaque shows areas of green oxidation characteristic of bronze aging. The overall style, posture, and treatment of the hair and beard evoke a heroic or philosophical figure from Antiquity. It is a rather heavy bas-relief.
