Description from the seller

Edition 11 of 200, C-print, 215 gsm, Fujifilm Professional Fine Art Paper signed and blind stamped. Size 30 x 40 cm.

Bob Marley and The Wailers, Houtrusthallen, The Hague 1977

Shipped with careful packaging.

The Dutch photographer Gijsbert Hanekroot (Brussels, 1945) began his career in 1969 and worked in the 1970s for magazines and newspapers. His career as a photojournalist aligns perfectly with the explosion of the rock scene, and he masterfully documented this golden age of music history — photographing many of the era’s greatest icons. Hanekroot aimed to capture images that revealed the person behind the musician. His attempt to express a deeper truth about his subjects resulted in portraits that are natural and intimate, relaxed and sincere.
The photographer is represented by, among others, Blitz Gallery, Tokyo; Blue Lotus Gallery, Hong Kong; Mondo Galeria, Madrid; Proud Galleries, London; ONO-Arte, Bologna; Munich; and Schiedam.
