Description from the seller
Vintage fountain pen Harisson Marbled Celluloid & Solid 18K Gold Nib
General Description
Status of operation if still submitted.
BIEN LURE LANNONCE
This magnificent vintage fountain pen is a collectible piece from the 1930s-1950s, typical of European production (probably Italian or French) of the era. It is distinguished by its marbled celluloid body (or 'ice crushed') in shades of cream, black, and amber/or, a material sought after by collectors.
Main Features
Brand: PARSON (the inscription on the clip is slightly worn, which could be interpreted as HARRISON).
Period: 1930s-1950s
Body Material: Celluloid, featuring a vibrant marbled pattern with rich depth.
Filling system: Probably lever or piston type (not verified or requiring restoration, to be specified by the seller).
The Pen (Strong Point of Sales)
The feather is the most precious and distinctive element of this pen:
Material: Solid 18-carat gold (750/1000).
Inscription: Clearly engraved 'WARRANTE 18K OSMI IRIDIUM'.
Details: The term 'warranty' (guarantee) means that the pen has been manufactured by a specialist and guarantees the quality and composition in 18-carat gold and the tip in Osmium-Iridium alloy for durability and an excellent writing experience.
Condition and State of Conservation
The pen is in generally good vintage condition, considering its age (about 70 to 90 years).
Celluloid Aesthetic: The marbled pattern is well preserved, with a beautiful shine. However, there are some photos showing defects on the tip of the cap and at the end of the pen.
Clip and Attributes: The clip is engraved with the brand name and exhibits normal wear of gold or plating.
Mechanism: The filling mechanism (bag or piston) may require standard maintenance or restoration (replacement of the rubber bag) to be fully functional.
Information for the Buyer
This is an authentic collectible piece, ideal for enthusiasts of vintage European pens, celluloid, and solid gold nibs. It could make a wonderful restoration project.
