500 Japanese Vintage Name Seals (Hanko / Inkan) Large Bulk Lot – Ebony Wood (No Reserve Price) - Ebony - Japan - Shōwa period (1926-1989)

500 Japanese Name Seals (Hanko / Inkan) Large Bulk Lot – Vintage Ebony Wood with Traditional Family Names in Kanji ◎ This item will be shipped from Japan. This is a large bulk lot of 500 Japanese name seals (Hanko / Inkan) made from the luxury hardwood Kokutan (Ebony). Each seal is engraved with a traditional Japanese family name in kanji, and these were originally used in Japan for personal authentication, calligraphy, and official documents as genuine, functional tools. Ebony is an extremely hard, dense, and highly valued premium wood, known for being difficult to process. For this reason, ebony products such as seals, stamps, and furniture have always been considered high-end items. The overwhelming visual impact of 500 pieces (actually 504 pieces) displayed together makes this an extraordinary collection—not only for Japanese art lovers, but also for use in collections, fine art, resin art, interior décor, and installation art projects. Every piece features a different kanji name, making each stamp a unique expression of Japanese culture. 【Important Notes Before Bidding】 This item will be shipped from Japan. Please note that the item price and shipping cost do not include import duties, VAT, or Catawiki fees. If you are located outside Japan, please check your country’s import regulations in advance, or refer to Catawiki’s help page below: https://www.catawiki.com/en/help/buyer-custom-fees/do-i-have-to-pay-import-tax-to-catawiki 【Condition Notes】 This is dead stock that was originally owned by a stationery shop that had been in business since the Showa period. Each piece has been individually inspected—there are no chips or damages, and all seals are in excellent condition. Due to the natural characteristics of ebony, each stamp has slightly different grain patterns and color tones, which is completely normal for ebony products. 【Size per Stamp】 Length: approx. 6 cm Diameter: approx. 1.2 cm Total weight of all 504 pieces: approx. 3,948 g (All pieces fit into a box measuring approx. 30 cm × 20 cm) 【Shipping】 All items will be carefully packed and shipped from Japan with a tracking number for safe delivery. Example shipping cost: €50 to France, Italy, or Spain.
