Paris Match - Françoise Hardy & Jean-Marie Périer, 1963

Dimensions: photo in good condition, traces and marks of wear, see photos for details, stamp on the back. 18cm x 24 In the summer of 1962, Françoise Hardy met Jean-Marie Périer, a photographer for the magazine Paris Match, then for Salut les copains, at the Place du Tertre for a photo shoot, at the request of the publisher Daniel Filipacchi, which was not very exciting, because Françoise proved to be unconciliatory and Jean-Marie, who was uninspired. Nevertheless, during the printing of the photographs, Jean-Marie Périer found her particularly photogenic and asked Jean Georgieff, in charge of public relations for Vogue, for a second photo shoot. This meeting took place at her home in the presence of her mother, in the modest apartment on rue d'Aumale. Jean-Marie Périer then discovered the full social extent that separated them, which moved him, when he saw Françoise Hardy at home, in front of her office shelf that represents his entire life, while he lived in a private mansion where the whole world paraded. Subsequently, Jean Georgieff informed Françoise Hardy that she did not leave Jean-Marie Périer indifferent. Then, she discovers her origins. Raised by François Périer, he was nevertheless the biological son of Henri Salvador; this situation changes Françoise's view of her partner, because she senses the complexity of the relationship he has with her parents, a relationship that echoes, in her case, the relationship she has with her family. The extent of Jean-Marie's knowledge of her attracts her even more. As this love grew, Françoise's mother suggested that she become independent, so she decided to buy a studio under the roof at 8, rue du Rocher. For his part, Jean-Marie Périer shared a flat with Régis Pagniez, rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré. She appears in the "photo of the century" taken by Jean-Marie Périer in April 1966, which brings together 46 French yéyé stars. In September 1967, during a stay in the singer's new Corsican house in the company of Jacques Dutronc and his group of friends, the Dutronc-Hardy couple was formed, but she quickly realized that their long separations were trying for her, especially since he had many female adventures Jean-Marie Périer (born 1 February 1940) is a French photographer and film director. On 22 June 1963, the magazine Salut les copains organised a concert on Place de la Nation in Paris, with singers such as Johnny Hallyday, Richard Anthony, Eddy Mitchell and Frank Alamo. It attracted over 150,000 young people. The following day, the Paris-Presse headline read "Salut les voyous!" The concert photographer and friend of many singers was Jean-Marie Périer.
