Six orange metal bowls from the Ruppelwerke range, designed by Marianne Brandt in the Bauhaus style, manufactured in Deutschland around 1930–1940; each bowl measures Ø 9.5 cm and 1.5 cm high with a depth of 9.5 cm, in good used condition with minor wear.
Description from the seller
Six small bowls or baskets, probably for the Ruppel works (Ruppel) Gotha.
Reduced construction made of red-orange metal with an ornamental, pierced edge. Diameter approximately 9.5 cm, height approximately 1.5 cm.
Marianne Brandt designed many everyday objects for the Ruppelwerke. Marianne Brandt (born October 1, 1893, in Chemnitz, and died June 18, 1983, in Kirchberg) was a German designer, photographer, painter, and sculptor. She worked as a designer at the metal workshop and is one of the few well-known female Bauhaus artists.
Age-appropriate condition, with signs of age and use (scratches, abrasions, some light residues, oxidation traces, some minimal (paint) defects, isolated small deformations); see also the photos. These are part of the item description.
