1 volume (of 2) in-4 (25 x 18.5 cm), mottled calf (period binding), spine with nerves, mottled edges, [7]-539-1196 pages (complete volume). Volume I is incomplete, with roughly restored corners, caps, and boards, gilding, title and volume pieces erased on the spine, some foxing (not serious). Overall, acceptable condition.

Third edition heavily expanded.

This edition is the first Western medicine book to feature Chinese characters.
