Monumental Berber Moroccan Enamelled Metal Bead, mid 20th Century A magnificent and large Berber bead from Morocco, crafted in the mid 20th century from hand-worked metal (might be low silver) and adorned throughout with vibrant cloisonné-style enamels in cobalt blue, emerald green, and warm amber tones, arranged in concentric circular “eye” motifs typical of Maghrebi tribal aesthetics; the surface further embellished with finely executed filigree, pierced roundels, and plaited wire borders, displaying the refined craftsmanship of High Atlas silversmithing, with a rich, naturally developed patina enhancing its ethnographic character; a substantial prestige bead likely once used as the central element of a ceremonial necklace or fibula ensemble.
