Description from the seller
Neoclassical garden urn with figurative reliefs
Description for the Sale
Splendid and imposing garden urn or vase made of cement (or reconstructed stone), with a clear Neoclassical style, probably from the mid-20th century.
The object features the classic crater-shaped form on a square pedestal, ideal for elegantly enriching gardens, terraces, or interior spaces with style and history. The central body is finely decorated with a continuous relief frieze depicting an allegorical or mythological scene with putti and classical figures, reminiscent of decorative compositions typical of the period.
The surface shows a natural and captivating aged gray patina, a sign of its exposure to the elements, which enhances its authenticity and character of being 'time-found.' The base and the stem feature additional embossed details.
• Material: Cement/Reconstructed stone (weather-resistant material).
• Style: Neoclassical / Classicism.
Estimated period: mid-20th century (1940s - 1960s).
• Conditions: Excellent structural condition, with the natural patina of time that enhances its aesthetic value. Note: An outdoor furniture piece that adds a touch of great prestige, inspired by the decorations of noble villas.
