A very RARE and beautiful big book on "Palestine Illustrated" written by Richard Temple and published in 1888 by W. H. Allen. Book in overall very good condition. Complete with all illustrations and beautiful maps! Light foxing at beginning/end...Pages very clean. Externally original cloth with light wear around edges and corners, shelfwear, light wear til of spine,boards a bit bowed. 4 maps. 2 lithographed & 32 chromolithographed plates (incl. frontis.). Tissue adhesion on some plates creating light offsetting on tissue guards- to avoid this i put a blank sheet between the tissue guards and the plate, two plates with a little wear-see last photos.
