Description from the seller

Vintage ship-in-a-bottle – Signed “G.E.L.” 1947 – Norwegian folk art – John Walker & Sons bottle

A rare and finely crafted Norwegian ship-in-a-bottle, signed “G.E.L.” and dated 1947. The model is contained in an original John Walker & Sons (Kilmarnock) whisky bottle (pre-1956 glass type) with original capsule and cork. The scene depicts a two-masted sailing brig navigating stormy seas, with a Scandinavian coastal village in the background. This is high-quality folk art from mid-20th century Norway, technically well executed and in very good condition.
