The wine has been stored in ideal conditions all those years: lying, constant temperature of 11.5 -12 degrees, Hygrometer 65% in total darkness. Unique bottles, unique opportunities. Vintage quality: Excellent. The wine bottles are sent well packaged. The Troplong Mondot estate is located on the Saint-Émilion plateau, near Pavie. It is classified as a Premier Grand Cru Classé B. The vineyard is primarily Merlot, with some Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The 1955 vintage is considered a very good to excellent year in Bordeaux (especially for the Right Bank). The result: elegant, balanced wines with longevity. A true vintage for the connoisseur. Tasting notes (for bottles that have been well-aged): Nose: Herbaceous (thyme), smoke, truffle, earth, forest floor, dried fruit. Palate: Medium-bodied, fresh red fruit, earthy notes, often still a firm structure, but now primarily tertiary aromas (leather, mushroom, tobacco). Finish: Fairly long, with a classic, somewhat dry Saint-Émilion style. The wine has been stored in ideal conditions all these years: lying flat, at a constant temperature of 11.5-12 degrees Celsius, with a hygrometer set to 65%, and in total darkness. My father personally collected this wine from the chateau. Unique bottles, unique opportunities. Vintage quality: Excellent. The wine bottles are sent well packaged.
