琉球沖縄壺屋焼 葡萄文様 飾壷 Ryukyu Okinawa Tsuboya ware pottery-Prosperit - Ceramic - Japan - Meiji period (1868-1912)

*壺屋焼Tsuboya ware Tsuboya ware is characterized by its simplicity and strength. These heavy, solid vessels have a warmth reminiscent of the Okinawan climate, and have been passed down in the hearts of both those who see and use them. This strength and warmth are Okinawan treasures, born from techniques nurtured over a long history, as well as the fires lit by Okinawan soil and wood native to the island. Tsuboya ware is broadly divided into Joyaki and Arayaki. Joyaki is glazed and fired at a high temperature of around 1200°C. Bowls, plates, bowls, caracolas, vases and other everyday items make up the majority of Tsuboya ware. Arayaki, also known as Nanban ware, is unglazed and fired at around 1120°C. Products are primarily made for large containers such as sake jars and water jars. *The grape pattern, representing "plenty of fruit" and "a twining vine," is a popular auspicious symbol for matchmaking, marital harmony, fertility, prosperity of descendants, and business prosperity. It also makes a great gift for weddings, housewarmings, housewarmings, and 60th birthdays. Why not try a grape-patterned cup for everyday use? Because it's something you use often, it's perfect as a lucky charm.
