Fine sculptural lock also known as Ko, Konbalabala, or Konbarabara in the Bamana language, in the form of a lizard with a long pointed tail, squared legs at the sides, and a pointed mouth. Engraved pattern around the body and along the tail. Dark brown variegated patina. Minor surface wear, cross lock gone.

Marshall & Caroline Mount Collection, New Jersey. Acquired in the 1970s.
