Oil painting on cardboard dated 1909 and signed lower left Alberto Rossi (Turin, 1858-1936), Italian orientalist painter who spent part of his life in Egypt between 1891 and 1914.
The work depicts a scene of everyday life set on the streets of Cairo, with the comings and goings of people dressed in traditional attire. The view is framed by a majestic entrance door, through which the outside light filters.
In excellent condition as per photographs, within a wooden frame.
