Description from the seller
Svein
Released in 2013, Svein is part of The Warrior Series, a collection of single malts created for Duty-Free to both introduce a key figure from Orkney’s Viking history and to demonstrate the impact of cask type on our whisky’s flavour, which is immense.
Predominantly matured in sherry seasoned American and European oak casks, Svein’s intense flavour expresses powerful notes of crème brûlée, fresh pineapple, ripe oranges and spicy peat smoke.
Drakkar
The Drakkar, a type of Viking longship, symbolised mighty Norse rule and power. Historically, a longship’s prow would feature a figurehead carving of a fearsome beast – usually a serpent-like dragon – to protect the vessel and crew in battle and ward off the terrible sea monsters of Norse mythology.
Released in 2012 and matured in first-fill sherry seasoned American and European casks, Drakkar shows itself to have a character as bold as the warship it celebrates: Cherry blossoms explode in a fog of peat smoke, flanked by zest and citrus, launching a glorious advance on the senses.
Both bottles in perfect condition.
