Birds in relief, gold flowers and stems, a deep black background with areas of vermilion red (simplified nashiji effect), 19 cm wide.
The second box is a hand-painted decorative box inspired by Asia (Japan), representing:
Stylized flowers, probably chrysanthemums or peonies;
Two birds in flight; a palette dominated by red/brown tones, typical of antique lacquered boxes. This type of box was often used as a jewelry case.
