Beautiful pocket atlas, in the first German edition, containing 29 folded maps, as well as 11 full-page illustrations of Europe coats of arms.
Second volume (of 2) of the Du Val pocket atlas, including the lands of Europe.

Folded illustrated title engraved by Hipsehman.
A very rare opera to find, especially complete with both volumes and all the maps included.
In the collection, held at the Bavarian Public Library, all the folded maps are present except for the missing map of Sabaudia, which was perhaps never inserted.
Also present are all the full-page illustrations, containing very many coats of arms of the lands of Europe.
The presence of all maps except Sabaudia is confirmed by the Index of maps present in the last two cards of the work (see photo).
The maps are distributed in order of placement.

The map of 'Sabaudia' on page 276 is missing, yet there are no signs of removal.
Small tears, professionally repaired, are reported at the fold lines of a few maps.
Small missing part at the top corner of the Poland map, with ONLY the text 'Mare Balticum' missing (see photo).
All other maps, coats of arms, and the text should be complete and intact.
Keep the original guards (1 + 2).
