Description from the seller

Set in first-quality factory porcelain consisting of: 8 coffee cups, height 5.1 x diameter 6.2 cm, and 8 saucers with a diameter of 10.4 cm. White porcelain hand-painted in blue. Mark on the back with two crossed blue swords under Meissen glaze with the 'Blue Onion' pattern, Germany. The number '3025' painted by hand could be a serial (model) or inventory number. The blue onion pattern from Meissen, known as 'Zwiebelmuster' in German, was introduced in 1739 by the Meissen manufactory. Inspired by Asian porcelains, particularly Chinese blue and white designs, the pattern features stylized flowers and fruits (pomegranates, peaches, bamboo, and delicate flowers); despite the name, it does not actually depict onions. It features intricate embossed details, as seen on the handle and the fluted edge of the cup.
This classic blue motif on white porcelain has become an icon of European porcelain art and remains one of Meissen's most popular and recognizable designs. Status: active. It dates back to the mid-20th century.
