One-of-a-kind original Porsche 959 special US certificate and rare brochure and manual. 

Original certificate (from the archives of Porsche in Germany) which was intended to be issued to a special group of 40 Porsche 959 sport version cars for the US. The Porsche 959 was not road legal in the US, however a special program was developed to bring 40 cars to the US. Due to a misunderstanding between Porsche and the US authorities the program was scrapped and never implemented. 

This certificate comes from the collection of a prominent Porsche collector. It will be accompanied by a letter certifying the authenticity and the source. 

Additionally in this collection is an original Porsche 959 sales brochure and original 959 driver’s manual. Both in English.

This lot will also come with a March 1985 copy of Road & Track magazine featuring the Porsche 959.
