Anacleto (Cleto) Moiraghi, born in Binasco in 1889, was a landscape painter inspired by post-impressionism. He began his studies by attending classes with Emilio Quadrelli and the painter Giuseppe Mentessi. The predominant theme of his painting is the marine, lake, and mountain landscape. His works, depicting ports of many Italian cities, especially that of Genoa, are highly appreciated and focus on the individual vibrations of light on objects, following impressionist techniques. Moiraghi also addressed social themes related to the world of work, particularly rice paddies and rice field workers. His art is characterized by small-sized paintings, whose depiction of labor and effort captures the audience's attention. Moiraghi frequently exhibited at the Permanente in Milan and at the Galleria del Tritone in Rome. He died in Milan in 1943.
